Canales, Octavio

Location: Santiago, Chile     Position: lawyer & accountant

Graduate of Public Accountant Auditing in 1989. Masters in Law, specializing in Tax Law, at the Faculty of Law of the University of Chile. He has done numerous specializing courses in Chile and abroad; Highlighting a Post grade in Tax Legislation held by the University of Santiago. Between the years 1999-2000 he specialized in International Tax and worked in the International Tax Department of Ernst & Young in New York City; being Chilean Desk.

He served as Participating Partner of The Legal and Tax department of Ernst & Young Chile, With over 20 years of professional expertise.

Tutoring professor of Tax Planning and International Taxing in the Masters Program, Law in the Enterprise at the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of Chile.

Professor of Tax planning in the Masters Degree in Taxation and Professor of graduates in national and international taxation and tax planning and management of the faculty of economics and business from the Universidad de Chile, since the year 2000. He has been lecturer in various seminars nationally and internationally, all of these having to do with National and International Tax Matters. Member of International Fiscal Association and of the Chilean Institute of Tax Law.
