He is also a director of FY International and a member of its International Tax Advisory Group. Prior to joining FYA, he was a Corporate Controller with a prominent real estate development company located in Vancouver, British Columbia. As a partner in Fernandez, Young & Associates, Julio is involved in tax planning in all areas of personal, corporate and estate taxation, in particular, advising on real estate tax issues and establishment of resident and non-resident trusts and offshore corporations for professionals and owner managers with cross border transactions. As a member of the Tax Group of FY International, Julio coordinates and participates in the delivery of services to Latin America and other non-resident clients seeking international tax advice. His fluency in Spanish and Cantonese gives him an advantage in advising non-resident clients on the most effective structures for carrying business in Canada.
